Contract awarded to Renovate/Build new Centralized location for Community Living North Bay

Community Living North Bay has awarded the construction contract for their major renovation and addition to Tribury Construction from Sudbury. The renovation/construction of the centralized hub/office building located at 741 Wallace Road will start immediately and is expected to be completed by early Spring 2018.

Bids were submitted through a public tender process that was managed by Evans, Bertrand, Hill, Wheeler Architecture Inc. North Bay.  After careful review, Tribury being the lowest bid, was selected for the project.

This move will solve our accessibility challenges, consolidate resources and allow us to begin to re-allocate the funds currently spent on rent and other occupancy costs into services for the long wait list of individuals and families in our community.

For more information, you can call Community Living North Bay at 705-476-3288  visit our website at www.communitylivingnorthbay.org, or email us at  [email protected].

Changes to Programs and Services

There will be extensive renovations occurring at FJ Dellandrea Place over the next year and some of our programs will need to be relocated during this period of time. We have secured three large rooms inside the old Ste-Anne’s school, now owned by the Greenwood Baptist Church, located at 235 Albert Avenue.

The following changes will be occurring:

Community Links, Transitions, Employment Services and Individualized Funding Programs have been relocated to 235 Albert Ave. until the renovations at FJ Dellandrea Place are complete.

To reach Community Links please call 705-472-6113
To reach Employment Services, Transition Services, and Individualized Funding Services please call 705-472-3652
To reach the managers of these programs please call 705-472-6125

Administration currently at FJ will re-locate to Main Street.

Volunteer/Community Participation has relocated to the Main Office downtown as of April 18th

The Homestyle Café will remain open in its current location during the renovations. You will be notified if this changes.

The Education and Training classroom will remain open until the end of June, but will be re-located in September to another location – further details to follow.

Access to parts of the building will also be off limits and this will be determined by the construction company and blocked off for safety purposes. We will do our best to minimize the disruption during this short transition period.

Any concerns or questions, please forward to the Manager of the program. We will do our best to keep you abreast of any changes or updates. All programs involved will ensure participants have contact information (addresses, phone numbers, email) in order make the transition smoother for all those involved.
